| | Bonjour everyone!
Paris is a majestic city, a city of culture, romance, gastronomy, design and fashion. It is a capital that never sleeps.
Whether you are a newcomer or already familiar with the Paris scene, there is a vast choice awaiting you: over 1,800 classified monuments, 157 museums, 145 theatres and 380 cinemas. Not to mention their numerous shopping galleries and department stores.
Paris, however, is not just a historical city. Its Seine riverbanks and neighborhoods, some of which retain a village atmosphere, are an invitation to stroll and sightsee. By day or by night, soak up the special ambiance to grasp the true spirit of the city and let yourself be carried away by its energy & vitality.
These photos reflect how we got the most out of the French capital. Enjoy!

| | I have several reasons why my 2007 Christmas was extra special:
First, It was my first Christmas being married. Christmas being a joyous event as it is, our marriage just made it twice as fun! -from putting up our very first tree to attending parties together.
Also, I gained another family to share it with. One added perks of being married is to become a part of a much bigger family. I am just so lucky that my husband has a closely knit family who lives up to the true essence of the word.
Third, my parents got to spend their first Christmas in the U.S. with us. Though my folks have been frequent flyers here in the States, their prior visits never fell on December time. It was such a delightful feeling to be able to celebrate the holidays with them once again after years of longing during the Yuletides that had passed.
Though Christmas is traditionally a time of gift giving, there is no better gift for us but the blessing of having wonderful families and friends who bring joy to our life. Our only wish is to come across more genuine people along the way who will positively influence us.
Ultimately, we thank the Lord Jesus for helping us survive & enjoy year 2007. He is what Chrismas is all about after all, a celebration of His life and His goodnes. Thank You, thank You, thank You.... |
15 year-old Charice Pempengco was a product of a singing talent show in the Philippines where she bagged 3rd place. Pero hindi talaga doon siya sumikat. Her fame really debuted when she became a Youtube sensation kung saan pinakita ang guesting niya sa Korea. She really wowed the crowd by doing her own rendition of the song, " And I am Telling You" as seen here. Then her popularity immediately spread internationally. She was featured on E! Daily 10 News alongside famous Hollywood celebrities and even Ellen Degeneres had personally invited her to guest on her show which she eventually graced and surprisingly received a very warm reception with 2 standing ovations. ( See video clip ) Her exposure on Youtube indeed opened up a lot of doors - from performance guestings lining up to scoring a record deal in Sweden. ( Talagang pang-international! ) She sure has a hectic career ahead of her. One Saturday habang namamasyal kami sa Beverly Hills ay na-surprise kami ng makita namin siya. It was few days after her guesting sa The Ellen Degeneres Show. Super happy ang papa ko na makita siya matapos na ilang beses namin pinanood ang mga video clips niya sa Youtube. We had a moment to chat with her and her mom at nalaman namin na fellow Batanguenyo siya from Sto. Tomas. It was their last day in the U.S. and was set to fly back to Korea para mag-guest ulit sa Star King. Syempre, very proud kaming nagpa-picture kasama siya. I'm happy na dumadami na ang mga pinoys who make it to mainstream entertainment. Kabilang na diyan sina Vincent Bueno ng Vienna, Austria at si Arnel Pineda na official vocalist na ng bandang Journey. | | Hayyyy....isang taon na naman ang nagdaan. Time really does fly so fast. Well, 2007 was a fairly good year for me. My marriage to my bestfriend, Tok, top my list among the highlights. It so deserved it after months-long preparation (whew!)
This album contains random photos reflecting how we made use of some leisure time and a few 'just because' pictures. |
| | Our dear Liz may be a year older but her solid friendships to many will never age as they are not measured by the number of years shared but its quality.
Cheers to you Liz! -xoxo-

| | Jona & Letlet were my college dorm mates during my senior year.
When I learned the news that Letlet was paying a visit here for a business trip, I was so thrilled! It's been ages since I last saw her. She almost made it to Jona's wedding but nevertheless Jona & I were thankful that she was able to find time to meet with us despite her crazy itinerary.
Well, we were more thankful to the company she works for -Intel for sending her here. (hehe) How lucky can you get Let! Ever since she got that job, she's been all over the globe. Hope next time we could tag along then we'll max out your company credit card (haha!)
I sure had a blast with these girls. (Sigh) Gone were the days of our late night-outs, last full shows, bar-hopping in Malate & Makati, cruising around with "Orangie" (Let's car)& bonding sessions over cup of coffee.
Those were things of the past. More lies ahead.....

I'm so happy that Jona has finally found her first & last love in the person of Dr. Arnel Balbuena. It was definitely worth the wait! ( wasn't it, Jona? ) We wish you a life long marital bliss and undying strength to overcome any obstacles that may come your way. CONGRATULATIONS! |
| | Yes, our dear Audrey Hepburn fanatic has hit 30! The celebration took place at Blue Velvet Lounge. Obviously being the kind-hearted person that she is all these years, I was not surpised that the party was graced by her gazillion friends. Our crowd definitely stood out as if she had the entire venue reserved for her birthday bash.
=====================================
Abbi, your birth had definitely served its purpose and that is to touch people's lives. Tok & I are one of them. We THANK YOU for your friendship. We wish you nothing but happiness which you truly deserve. Mwah! |
| | I joined Jona along with her family & friends as she celebrates her last days of singlehood. It was a good 3 hours of fun conversations over flavored teas & delicious sandwiches.
No doubt that it's really God's time for her to say ' i do' to Arnel. This was reconfirmed by the fact that on our wedding, my bouquet landed on her and Arnel got lucky with the garter toss :) |
This is the last 2 minutes of the photo montage. Since Multiply only allows 10 minutes per video, I had to upload this separately. 05 AA Theme song.wmv (13.0 MB)
Our photo montage showed on our wedding featuring our growing up years.... Happy viewing! Montage 2.wmv (62.0 MB)
What made our day truly special was beyond the wedding ensembles but our friends and families whose presence livened up the occasion. Our deepest thanks to everyone who shared it with us most especially to those who went out of their way to see us tie the knot.
To those who missed it, we won't love you any less. We are sure that your thoughts were with us. | | We and our guests headed straight to The Castaway Restaurant for the party. It is located high in the Burbank hills overlooking a golf course with a spectacular view of the city.
The guests were greeted by the hanging paper lanterns in different pink & green shades along the walkway which set the mood for a fun get together. It was such an eye candy to see our loved ones share some cheers as we feast on food and danced along with the wonderful music of The Anapolis Band. It was truly a party to remember. |
| | Spring being my most favorite season of the year, the weather could have not been more perfect than the day we exchanged our vows at the very beautiful historic church of San Fernando Mission on the 5th day of May 2007.
Mission San Fernando Rey de Espana was founded on September 8,1797. The mission is named for St. Ferdinand, King of Spain. We are happy to have this church witnessed our wedding rites in addition to its rich history from centuries back. Not to mention the lush gardens surrounding it which makes a perfect backdrop for pictorial. |
| | We squeezed in a short (but sweet!) vacation in HK during our visit in PI. Believe it or not, though HK is geographically close to P.I., it was my first trip to one of the world's best shopping capital! We stayed at the Royal Pacific Hotel along Canton Rd which is within reach to HK's exciting spots. I love HK for its diversity. Tourists from all parts of the globe seem to enjoy what HK has to offer. Though month of May is not their best in terms of weather, our family bonding time was as warm as the temperature & humidity. Best part is - goods are tax free! |
